Yannis Thavoris, Designer
Yannis Thavoris graduated with a diploma in Architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1995. He then obtained a Master of Arts in European Scenography from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
He was the winner of the 1997 Linbury Prize for Stage Design.
His recent designs include: Viva la Diva (Salzburger Landestheater), Roméo et Juliette (Estonian National Opera), Hänsel & Gretel (RNCM and Grange Park Opera), Orlando (San Francisco Opera), Roberto Devereux (sets, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe), Otello (Theater Magdeburg).
