''Being a Linbury Prize finalist allowed me the chance to showcase my work at the prominent National Theatre space, while exposing my work to professional designers and directors at an early stage in my design career. In particular, I was also happy to meet my idol Ralph Koltai, whose work inspires me.''
Wai Yin Kwok, Designer
Wai Yin is a Designer from the UK with over 15 years of experience in theatre and events. She was nominated at The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards for Best Set Design for the production of Dragonflies by Pangdemonium in 2018. She has collaborated on multiple Singapore based shows for the last 8 years with Pangdemonium, I Theatre, Wild Rice and LASALLE College of the Arts. She was also a resident senior designer at Universal Studio Singapore for 3 years and participated in creating large-scaled entertainment experiences, such as Halloween Horror Nights and Christmas. Production designs for the theme park included a new show for Sesame Street Elmo TV Time, which was nominated for Best Theatrical Production for 2018 IAAPA Brass Ring Awards. She was also involved in designing for Resorts World Sentosa Casino, Ballroom and S.E.A Aquarium.
