“Receiving the Linbury Prize is an incredible opportunity for which I am so grateful and excited. I cannot wait to continue my journey as a performance designer through this phenomenal experience.”
Ania Levy, Designer
Ania Levy is a performance designer based in London. Her process is driven by a love of alternative, playful research and collaborative work. A vivid imagination and strong design instinct helps her to draw inspiration across mediums; music is particularly key to Ania’s practice.
Having studied her foundation at Kingston School of Art, Ania graduated from her BA at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with 1st class honors in 2022, where she was awarded the Ashley Family Foundation Award. Since graduating she has worked closely with artist Geraldine Pilgrim, assisting her across a range of projects including site-specific theatre, lighting installations, sculpture and events.
Ania believes the sharing of spaces and stories to be fundamental in building communities and looks to create work that is people-centred. She strives to craft spaces that tell a story across the senses and form an emotional connection with an audience, never taking their presence for granted.
