Ana Ines Jabares
I am a designer, visual dramaturg and director. I enjoy creating ephemeral worlds for stories to happen, making sure that all the details of that world are interconnected, supporting the story in the best possible way.
I have been fortunate to work with some of the most prestigious companies in the UK, such as English National Opera, Royal Court Theatre, Young Vic, Royal Shakespeare Company, Headlong, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Royal Lyceum, Gate Theatre, National Theatre of Scotland and art galleries such as Dulwich Picture Gallery and the V&A Museum. I have also worked internationally in Italy, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Spain, Australia and the US.
In 2013 I was the Overall Winner of the Linbury Prize for Stage Design for my design of The Driver's Seat for the National Theatre of Scotland which included set, costume and video. In 2014 I became a Jerwood Young Designer for my work Idomeneus which was selected by the V&A in London to become part of their archive. In 2015, I won HECHOS DE TALENTO becoming the ambassador of Spanish Design in some of the most emblematic places all over the world, among them Picadilly Circus and Times Square in NY.
